Polices and Rules

The Daniels House is devoted to aiding in the recovery of persons with substance use disorder. The following are polices and rules that are to be met by any person who wishes admission to The Daniels House:

Policies

  • This is a work recovery program, so each housemate living at Daniels House must obtain and keep a job.

  • Daniel’s House is a faith-based program, and everyone living there must attend church and Bible study weekly.

  • Each housemate must commit to staying at least six months in the program and is strongly encouraged to remain until mid-term goals are achieved.

  • Each housemate must pay a weekly resident service fee of $150.00

  • Each housemate must follow all house rules and policies.

  • The applicant must have completed at least fourteen days in an inpatient program before admission or completed treatment while incarcerated.

  • The applicant is expected to be free of alcohol and substance use.

  • The applicant must be free of psychological or medical problems that would preclude his functioning in a group environment where self-care and work are necessary.

  • Don’t allow applicants with psychotic or personality disorders.

  • Applicants need to be able to work.

  • The Daniels House Recovery will not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, or national origin. m

Rules

  • No Drug use, no alcohol use, no violence, no gambling, no weapons or firearms.

  • Any instance of taking or sharing medications other than as prescribed will be treated as a relapse, and the resident will be discharged.

  • Any new prescriptions must be reported to the staff.

  • No use of tobacco products, including vapes, is permitted in the building. If you wish to use tobacco products, you must use the designated smoking areas.

  • Candles, incense, or any flammable items are not allowed.

  • The weekly service fee is due in full weekly.

  • No cell phone use is allowed in the house meeting.

  • You are expected to attend church services, bible study, and R.E.C.O.V.E.R.Y meetings weekly.

  • Overnight travels and passes must be approved by staff and are not eligible for the first sixty days.

  • Travel passes must be requested within twenty-four hours before the time requested.

  • If sick, the resident must notify employees before missing work.

  • Resident must use the sign-in/out sheet when leaving and returning to the house.

  • Curfew is 10 pm and lights out at 11 pm. Sunday -Thursday. Curfew is 12 pm and lights out at 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

  • Disrespect of residents or staff will not be tolerated.

  • All rooms and houses must always be clean (No Exceptions).

  • Profanity, vulgar or indecent language, lewd acts, or pornographic materials are prohibited.

  • Good personal grooming, hygiene, or cleanliness are required.

  • You are expected to be on time for all meetings. On time is generally ten minutes early.

  • As a resident of Daniels House, you represent the house. As such, you are expected to dress, speak, and conduct yourself appropriately at all times when in public.

  • There will be scheduled and random drug testing. Refusal to submit to testing will result in immediate discharge.
